The health benefits of massage are well documented. I have extensive academic knowledge of human physiology from my studies and practical knowledge from my previous career as a professional dancer in the Australian Ballet. I use massage to treat a range of musculoskeletal issues and to help alleviate headaches, neck pain, stress and migraines. The whole body and root causes of the particular health concern are worked on to provide long term benefits and overall better health, rather than focusing on only the problem area.
I have been practicing massage for over 10 years and have a Certificate 4 in Remedial Massage, a certificate in Thai Massage and extensive training in traditional Japanese Shiatsu massage. In keeping with the integrated approach of the clinic, I often combine massage with acupuncture to provide a wholistic treatment. Alternatively, I also provide purely massage based treatments.
As well as having experience across a broad range of massage techniques I also provide specialised massage treatment for acute and chronic sports injuries, back pain and pregnancy massage. Massage is proven to provide many benefits for athletes of all levels by increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation and speeding up recovery time.
